|just like christmas...

Since I last updated, Thomas has moved in and it has been braw. He is a messy bastard and all, but I'm loving it apart from that. Been decorating and making the flat look lovely with my bargainous finds, such as my old-lady-style foot stool. |
We went to see Low playing a Christmas concert (?!) last night at Oran Mor, which was amazing. I've completely fallen in love with the band Ida that were supporting. Another husband and wifey combination like low, but maybe nicer if possible. The gig was unreal, each of the bands did a load of their own stuff and then they all came on and did a bunch of christmas songs in their own style, all with loads of harmonies and strings. It was amazing and has put me right in the mood for Christmas. Bought my first christmas tree the other day which is all very exciting. I'm having Christmas day split between Thomas' family and my own, which I'm looking forward to. I think this is the first year when I haven't actually asked anyone for anything, I'm more looking forward to all of the typically cheesy spending time with my family and that, and of course eating, drinking and being very merry.
College is going brilliantly, although the winter days are sucking out my motivation and I can't wait for this block to be over. I cannot wait until New York in February, it's going to be bloody amazing. I need to save up. I also need to stop wasting money and buying clothes from my work because "it's only two quid!", because my flat is full to the brim with my crap, and I thought it was a grand gesture to clear out just ONE drawer for Thomas.
Finishing my UCAS form and my wanky personal statement, so between applying for hunners of uni courses and hunners or jobs, I'm sure something will come of it. I've been a student forever, I want an amazing job now please.
